KATE LOWERY

Austin

Leveraging the power of PR, Kate has spent her career promoting purpose-based food and hospitality brands. For 15 years, she led communications for Whole Foods Market during a time of tremendous company growth. She then spent four years heading up global PR for Expedia's Vrbo. For the first 10 years of her career, she was with Burson as well as FleishmanHillard, managing programs for clients around the world ranging from global Fortune 500s to start up CPG brands. 

Cathy has been on the national culinary scene as a consultant, marketing executive and public relations expert for national and global brands including Whole Foods Market, HEB/Central Market and several CPG brands. She is an experienced leader in global retail marketing, strategic communications and digital marketing. Cathy is a former daily newspaper journalist, founder of two food-related nonprofits and a multi-year judge for the James Beard Foundation.

ABBY ROEDEL

Austin

Abby Roedel is an accomplished communications strategist and storyteller with 15+ years of public relations and journalism expertise. A regular contributor to PEOPLE magazine, she focuses on human-interest stories and she also crafts compelling narratives to elevate brands' and executives' visibility. With a masters in journalism from Columbia University, Abby was the PR director for Neutral Foods, the head of comms for the Gazelle Foundation, and a producer at Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions.

JANETTE RIZK

Los Angeles

By focusing her career promoting natural CPG and retail brands, restaurants, sustainability, and social impact, Janette has created award-winning earned media campaigns and high impact events. She has garnered national print, online and broadcast media coverage for brands including Whole Foods Market, Love.Life, Kroger, Tetra Pak, Patagonia, Panera Bread, Follow Your Heart, Wicked Kitchen, as well as numerous CPG startups.
